I've never considered myself much of a landscape or travel photographer. Most of the times I'm somewhere beautiful and I raise my camera it somehow seems less beautiful or impressive. Obviously not the goal for a photographer hoping to convey something unique or interesting. The few times I've succeeded in my own eyes the images ended up feeling like portraits. Portraits of a place in time.
